Scooter skills

As part of Road Safety week we took part in some scooter skills. Andrew and Paul from Scooter school taught us how to be safe on our scooters. We learnt a lot and had a really fun time.

What we discovered in Term 1

Clean up our environment

As part of our bush unit the junior syndicate spent Friday morning cleaning up our surroundings. Rooms 3 & 7 set off to Jubilee Park to pick up rubbish and Rooms 4, 6 & 10 cleaned up the school and Victoria Park. It was fun being a tidy kiwi!

Term one discoveries in Room 10!

The Junior Syndicate visited Somes Island as part of our bush unit.

We wrote about what we saw and experienced on the island.

We are growing a tree in Room 10!  Come and check out all the interesting things on our tree.

In Maths we decorated the numbers on our letterboxes.

We have also been investigating repeating patterns.  Our elephants have repeating patterns on them.

These are our thank you letters to the fireman who taught us some fire safety.

What am I?  Each child chose an animal that lives in the bush and wrote some facts on it.
